If you have been employed by your employer for more than two years and you are dismissed from employment you maybe entitled to claim that you have been Unfairly Dismissed.
You only have a period of three months less one day from the date which you have effectively been dismissed (which can vary from the actual day you are told of the dismissal) to start the process. As you will require to invoke the ACAS pre-claim conciliation procedure we suggest you contact us immediately you are aware of your dismissal to assess if you have a claim and how you make it.

What am I entitled to claim if I have been Unfairly dismissed?
You can claim any outstanding contractual payments you might be due as well as a Basic Award (which is related to the number of years which you have been employed for) and a Compensatory Award which is an amount which takes into account what you have lost in wages, what you have managed to earn in any new job or if you have not obtained another job how long it might take to get one.
How long does the process take?
Typically if your case does not settle quickly and the case does proceed to a full hearing the process may take 6-9 months to complete.
How much does it cost?
There are currently no fees to take a case to the Employment Tribunal. We will advise you prior to commencing work how much the case is likely to cost. You maybe covered for the legal costs by your Home Insurance. We can also look at no win no fee in certain cases.
